We can’t speak too much about the town of Rockport as we’ve not spent much time in town other than at the Samoset Resort.

The resort doesn’t look like much as you pull up but when you get to your room you are treated to beautiful views of Penobscot Bay. The rooms a comfortable and clean and could probably use a little freshening. The property boasts a eighteen hole golf course with many holes along the bay. Also on site is a pool, basketball, tennis and a spa.

The main dining room is the La Bella Vita restaurant which provides great views as well. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is Italian-American and, unfortunately, does not taste as good as the menu sounds. It isn’t bad. It’s just ok.

The restaurant is located in the Samoset Resort. It offers beautiful views of the Samoset resort. It offers classic Italian-American food with a few additions. The charcuterie was very good. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was just average. The service is solid however.
