We’ve only spent a day in the attractive seaside town on the Maine Central Coast. There is a charming downtown area filled with shops and restaurants and a small harbor that leads to Penobscot Bay.

On our last trip to the central Maine coast, we booked a sail on the Appledore II and had a great time. We found the 86 foot ship to be quite comfortable as we sailed around Panobscot Bay. The staff made sure you were comfortable and that your thirst was quenched.
