My European adventure begins with me waking up before the 5:30 alarm. Aasma made sure that I made it to the airport in plenty of time. Check-in went smoothly even with the change in carrier. In fact, the attendant was able to get me a window seat. The flight was a pleasant one, arriving 45 minutes early. I checked the train schedule and found the correct stop but opted for the safer, easier option, a taxi. While this was quite easy, it was also pretty pricey. The 25 minute ride cost me £30.
Luckily Steve arrived early so I wasn’t waiting long. After dropping my bags we headed to a pub called the Rat-Parrot to meet Donna and Julie. We stayed there drinking Guinness until closing which was only 11:00. We wandered around looking for other places to go but all that was open were clubs so we just ended up having a nightcap at the hotel.
